Academics / Service

As a part of our fraternity, our brothers are required to maintain above a 2.5 cummulative GPA, so study hours are collected at the end of the semester and are encouraged to attend ALEC (Altshulder Learning Enhancement Center) for tutoring, if necessary. We currently stand at 3.48 GPA as a chapter, which we are proud of as it shows our dedication to academics.

Along with academics, brothers are required to do at least 25 hours of community service per semester, which may include many things such as clean-up a highway, tutor, etc. in order to be considered an active brother. Our brothers have participated in numerous volunteering projects hosted by SMU since we first established ourselves on campus.

Omega Delta Phi as a national organization supports CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) (http://www.casaforchildren.org), and we work with the Dallas CASA. Besides volunteering for others' events, our chapter volunteers at Camp Summit every semester (www.campsummittx.org). We participate in the annual Relay For Life hosted on SMU campus, which raises money for breast cancer research. In April 2012, we participated with Kappa Delta Chi of SMU.
